The New England Hereford Association seeks to promote pure-bred Hereford cattle that are phenotypically and genotypically positioned to thrive on farms in the Northeast. Our association is comprised of large and small farms that collectively seek to continually improve the quality of their Hereford cattle. The New England Hereford Association has a very active junior association which attends the National Junior Hereford Show each year. New junior members are most welcome. We are also host to the New England Pollettes, a national womens organization active in the hereford breed. I would like to extend  an open invitation to any prospective new member to visit our website and complete the membership application included, your involvement would be most welcome. Please continue to visit our website as we will be actively updating and expanding in the future.

Spring is finally here, for many it has been a long winter with record precipitation, for some of us others it was a winter that circumvented many storms around us. This is one of the special times of year for us; watching new calves born and preparing for a new breeding season. The calves hold testament to our research and planning from the prior breeding season and with new breeding season upon us we look to continue desired improvements in our herds, The New England Hereford Association has been busy as of late. The first weekend in May will bring our 70th Annual Sale. On that weekend we will have our annual dinner and membership meeting on Friday evening. Our sale honorees this year will be Fred and Pat Plaisted of Plainview Farm, East Corinth , Vermont . They are very fitting recipients of this award. Also that weekend the Big East Youth Show will be held. This great event will have breed shows, showmanship, quiz bowls and a host of other activities. We encourage all Hereford juniors to participate. At our Annual meeting we will have a new slate of officers and directors to serve our association. They are ready for the challenges that lie ahead and will work to promote and advance the New England Hereford Association. It has been my pleasure of serve all of you as president the past two years.

with WARM regards!
— Dan Fitzpatrick, NEHA President
